This post shows different ideas for pairs of gables
Came aross old group of files and a proposal for a disaster structure for Haiti was pictured in wireframed. Reminds me of the bungalow designs with shorter side posts, so combined those two ideas to visualize how that would look. The hypar shells curve up giving a useful increase in head space at the corners. Arching is more obvious viewing the right most gable shell in the Haiti shelter, above.
Another double gable house, below, reminds me of a cabin in the mountains of West Virginia. The WV cabin was wooden inside and out with a centered front door between two cross gable roofing ends. That real cabin had full front porch overlooking a valley.
